How to create printer friendly webpages


How to make your web pages printer friendly.

Before we begin, I need you to understand that a web page by its very nature is not meant to be printed.

A web page is specifically designed to be viewed on the internet via a computer screen, if you want it to print nicely you must make it printer friendly from the very beginning....

For example, if you where to print out this page it would come out distorted and use up several pieces of paper.

Have you ever visited a website that had a button that said...

"Click here for a printer friendly version"?   

Tips for creating a printer friendly page…

1) White background.
2) text Aligned left.
3) No more than 150 characters of text per line
4) Little or no graphics.
5) etc....

After you have created your printer friendly web page, print it out a few times to test how it looks and tweak it accordingly.
